Memberships bestowed on supporters of God's Acre Cemetery

A group of Archerfield residents and friends has been recognised for their support of one of the suburb’s most important heritage assets, the 147 year-old God’s Acre Cemetery at the main entrance to Archerfield Airport.

The Friends of God’s Acre Inc recently bestowed Life Membership on Lona Grantham, Effie Johnson, Allan Hodge, Sam Parker, Joy Jensen and Lillian Barnacle; and posthumous Life Membership on Daisy Seeley, Bryan Grenier, Ray Grenier, Paddy Boyle and Wally Barnacle. For the first time, Honorary Memberships were awarded to three supporters – the cemetery’s unofficial historian, Brother Brian Grenier, and Archerfield Airport representatives, Gavin Bird (Managing Director) and Richard Kent (the former Manager).
