A sad farewell to Airshows at Archerfield Airport

Archerfield Airport Corporation (AAC) today announced that it could no longer stage air shows at Archerfield Airport.

The decision, which AAC Directors say was a difficult one, was made after carefully considering a number of issues. These included problems obtaining approvals from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, the costs involved in insuring the event, and the logistics involved in observing new security measures required at the airport.
