Memorandum - Airport Emergency Exercise
(18/08/15)
Emergency planning is an essential element of operating any airport. While we hope an incident never happens, it is incumbent on AAC to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place and that its Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) is functional.
It is a regulatory requirement that the AEP is tested at scheduled intervals to ensure that the plan is functional and that both combat and support agencies responding to the plan are familiar with their roles and responsibilities, and, in particular, specific requirements related to an incident on an Airport. The AEP is distributed to those that have a active role as a responding emergency agency and is not for public distribution.
