Media Release - Fly Neighbourly at Archerfield Airport

Archerfield Airport Corporation (AAC) has launched a Fly Neighbourly program in partnership with airport operators, community representatives, residents and aviation stakeholders to minimise airport-generated noise impact on noise-sensitive and residential neighbours.

The program, which is modelled on similar initiatives operating at some Australian airports, is a voluntary code of practice. It encourages ‘good manners’ by everyone who uses the airport, and aims to give people living and working near the airport a better understanding of the source and background of airport noise. Aircraft noise is either on the ground or in the air.
