Memorandum - Unsealed Runways 04L & 04R Update

Archerfield Airport would like provide an update on the maintenance and repair works on its unsealed runways 04/22L and 04/22R.

Both runways showed considerable signs of scouring and rutting as well as poor drainage in certain sections, we therefore deemed operations of these runways unsafe.

We have now completed an aerial topography survey by drone to determine levels and ensure the grading design is correct. The drainage can then be altered so the water leaves the runway as soon as possible.
