Since the 1930s, Archerfield Airport has proudly played an important role in connecting communities across Brisbane, SE Queensland, Australia and international borders.
More than ever before, we stay connected to the community through the Archerfield Airport Community Aviation Consultation Group (AACACG), community bodies and Government agencies. We work closely with CASA and Airservices Australia regarding noise abatement procedures and safety measures where applicable.
Archerfield Airport operates the Archerfield Airport Community Aviation Consultation Group (AACACG) which meets three times a year to discuss any matters affecting Archerfield Airport.
As an open forum for input and concerns, the AACACG aims to provide clarity and understanding between key participants in the operation of Archerfield Airport and representatives of the surrounding communities. Various community bodies and Government agencies often attend the forum and provide information regarding issues and policies that may affect the present and/or future operations of Archerfield Airport.

Individual members of the group may raise issues that affect them and can be actioned within their area of authority. Archerfield Airport provides information from time to time regarding forthcoming plans for the future of the airport.
Archerfield Airport is the proud home of Queensland’s premier emergency aviation hub.
The recently built $25 million LifeFlight maintenance facility is the largest hangar to be built at Archerfield Airport and compliments the maintenance, operational and support services of Queensland Police Air Wing (POLAIR) and Queensland Government Air Rescue (QGAir).
Archerfield Airport is committed to the highest standards of environmental management and upkeep. We encourage all of our tenants, visitors and suppliers to maintain the same vision for our surrounding natural habitat, air and property.
We undertake regular inspections and maintenance of flora and fauna, air emissions, groundwater, surface water, soil, and built heritage. The Archerfield Airport Environment Strategy 2022 (AES) addresses the ongoing environmental management of the airport site. It also provides the framework for responsible environmental management by airport tenants.

Due to the nature of operations within and around any functioning airport, there will always be some noise emanating from the site. While we make every effort to keep aircraft noise levels to a minimum whilst on the ground, we have no control of flight paths or aircraft once they become airborne.
However, Archerfield Airport is fortunate to be located in a mainly industrial and commercially zoned area. To ensure noise levels are kept to a minimum wherever possible for neighbouring properties, we place restrictions on locations where certain activities are permitted to occur.
Issues regarding aircraft noise management and flight paths can be discussed and suggestions made to the responsible authorities, CASA and Airservices Australia. Information regarding noise abatement procedures and safety measures can be supplied where applicable.
